Description
In this 11th webinar in the conveyancing series, Phil Nolan will consider risk management and three areas in conveyancing that come up regularly in enquiries to LPLC - disputes about release of deposits, obligations imposed on owner-builders and owners corporations issues.
The failure to properly deal with any of these issues may have serious consequences for a client, may mean that a client has committed an offence and may result in any fixed fee for conveyancing being well exceeded.
During the webinar the most common questions raised with LPLC will be discussed and participants will have the opportunity to use the chat function to ask their own questions or post comments and your knowledge about release of deposit, owner-builders and owners corporations will be tested by participating in polls and exercises.
To get the most out of this session it is recommended that just prior to the session you refresh your memory of section 27 of the Sale of Land Act 1962 (Vic), section 137B of the Building Act 1993 (Vic) and the insurance obligations in sections 59 – 61A of the Owners Corporations Act 2006 (Vic).
