Speaker bio's

Christien Corns, Partner K&L Gates

Christien Corns has extensive experience acting in complex commercial litigation, with a particular focus on insurance, professional indemnity, major torts, sports, defamation and related media issues.  He also has experience acting for executors and related parties in estate and trust litigation, including the estate of the late motor sportsman, Peter Brock. For almost 20 years Christien has acted for the Legal Practitioners' Liability Committee and Lawcover defending a range of claims against legal professionals, including in relation to Wills and Estates related claims.

Sam Rappensberg, Senior Associate, K&L Gates

Sam Rappensberg is an experienced insurance and commercial litigation lawyer, specialising in professional negligence, life insurance and defamation matters.  As part of his work defending claims made against legal professionals, Sam regularly analyses and advises on wills for the purpose of acting in relation to rectification applications, beneficiary-related claims, "lost" Part IV claims, judicial advice applications and claims arising from estate administration issues.
